UIC EMS also provides an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training course. In order to be licensed as an EMT, the requirement of an EMT course must be fulfilled. After taking and successfully passing the UIC EMT course students are eligible to sit for the Illinois State Licensing exam or the National Registry Certification exam.
The UIC EMT training course trains 200 students per year to become an EMT by teaching how to administer medications, stabilize critical patients, and perform patient assessments. With clinical experience in the University of Illinois Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the UIC EMT program and instructors are committed to ensuring you are prepared.
